The Youth Leadership Talks (YLT) are platforms designed for dialogue were young leaders from various sectors of the society discuss, to identify their leadership challenges. Through these dialogues, participants develop an intimate understanding and propose solutions to the current socio-economic challenges. In understanding the current systematic challenges, participants interrogate policy and give recommendations to both government and business.

Cultivating a New Breed of Leaders
The Youth Leadership Talks (YLT) are platforms designed for dialogue where young leaders from various sectors of the society discuss, to identify their leadership challenges. Through these dialogues, participants develop an intimate understanding and propose solutions to the current socio-economic challenges. In understanding the current systematic challenges, participants interrogate policy and give recommendations to both government and business.   These are knowledge exchanging platforms that enhances work of the youth and provides a sustainable peer support system to the young leaders. Participants of the Talks include government representatives, leaders from various civil society organisations and young entrepreneurs.

Having successfully implemented the Youth Leadership Talks for the past three years in the Capital City (City of Tshwane), the executive team of Agape Youth Movement (AYM) is extending the reach of the initiative and will host the dialogues in 9 cities across the country. In 2018 we will have the below stated cities, towns and municipality hosting the dialogue:
  • Tshwane (Friday 22 June);
  • Rustenburg (Saturday 30 June 2018);
  • Klerksdorp (Saturday 7 July);
  • Durban (Saturday 14 July);
  • Johannesburg (Wednesday 19 July);
  • Polokwane (Saturday 28 July 2018);
  • Bloemfontein (Thursday 20 July 2018); and
  • Nelson Mandela Bay (Saturday 4 August).
